Asiden costs $10, once, during early access. That is the whole price of the app. After that, local conversations are unlimited — no monthly fee, no account, no message cap, nothing counting down.
The optional subscriptions exist for one reason only: managed cloud chat, voice, screen vision and supported video, when you choose to use them.
1. The app: $10, once
One payment, during early access, and Asiden is yours. It is a purchase, not a subscription and not a trial — it does not expire, degrade after a month, or stop working if you never spend another penny.
For that $10 you get the whole product running locally:
- Unlimited local conversations, offline if you like.
- All four signature companions — Mei, Lily, Jae and Sasha — plus ten further personality presets.
- The custom personality wizard, so you can write your own companion.
- Long-term memory, stored on your own drive.
- Screen vision running locally.
- No message limits and no ongoing cost.
The price is deliberately low because Asiden is early. Buying now means buying it at the early-access price.
2. Plus and Premium
Both subscriptions include the same managed cloud chat, voice, screen vision and supported video features. Plus adds 1,250 Sparks per paid monthly renewal; Premium adds 3,000. Local voice remains available with the base app.
| Price | What you get | |
|---|---|---|
| Asiden | $10 one-off | The app: unlimited local chat, memory, local screen vision, every companion and personality, and the custom personality wizard |
| Plus | $15 / month | 1,250 Sparks per paid monthly renewal, with managed chat, voice, vision and supported video |
| Premium | $30 / month | 3,000 Sparks per paid monthly renewal, with the same managed cloud features |
Use Settings → Plan & Usage in the website or itch edition to buy, connect and manage a cloud plan. If you already hold a plan, connect its licence key there. An itch purchase already covers the local app; you do not need another one-time website purchase.
On Steam? The Steam edition uses prepaid Sparks purchased through Steam. No cloud subscription is required. These website plan keys are not used in the Steam edition.
Get Plus — $15/month → Get Premium — $30/month →
One of each plan per account. You can have one Plus subscription and one Premium subscription active at the same time. If you have both, the Sparks included with each plan are added to the same balance. Do not buy the same plan twice — it will bill you again without adding another allowance.
Subscriptions are optional. Buy and manage them in the website or itch edition under Settings → Plan & Usage. Your current balance and usage are shown there.
3. What Sparks are
Sparks are the in-app currency that powers your companion when it uses premium cloud models. Managed chat, voice, vision and video use Sparks. Local conversations do not use Sparks.
Studio voice has its own monthly allowance
Both plans include access to studio voices, with a separate limit of 30,000 text characters per account each calendar month, shared across voices and devices. Voice generation also uses Sparks: Flash 2.5 uses 10 Sparks per 1,000 characters; v4 Turbo uses 20. Each generation rounds up to at least one Spark, so short or split requests can cost more per character. Approved delivery cues count too.
Buying more Sparks does not increase this voice allowance. When it is used up, you can continue with a local voice. Your plan, remaining Sparks and studio-voice allowance are shown separately in Plan & Usage.
Cancelling a subscription does not lock you out of your companion. The app is bought, local mode is still unlimited, and your memories remain on your drive. Relevant memories may have been included in past cloud requests.
4. Which one you actually need
Just the app, if…
You have a reasonably capable Windows 11 gaming PC and you care most about conversations that never leave your machine. This is the intended Asiden experience, and $10 is the end of it.
Consider Plus if…
Your hardware is modest, or you want sharper replies and better vision than a locally-run model gives you, but you use those premium features in bursts rather than constantly.
Consider Premium if…
You use managed cloud features more often and want a larger Spark allowance. Premium has the same studio-voice character limit as Plus.
You can buy the app and decide about a subscription later. Nothing about installing Asiden commits you to one.
5. Early access limits
Asiden is early-access software from a solo developer. The app itself is yours to buy and keep, with no limit on how many people can do that. Paid cloud plans are temporarily capped at 100 subscribers, and that cap will increase as we scale.
Local use is not capped and never has been.
6. Payments and refunds
The app is a one-off payment. Subscriptions are billed monthly and can be cancelled in the app. Your cancellation and refund rights, including your statutory rights as a consumer, are set out in the refunds section of the Terms of Use. Nothing on this page removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
If a payment or plan question is not answered there, email asidenlabsltd@asiden.ai.
7. Common questions
Is Asiden a subscription?
The app is not. It is $10 once during early access. Plus and Premium are optional monthly subscriptions for premium cloud models.
Do I need a subscription to use Asiden?
No. Local mode is the default, and it is unlimited once you own the app.
Do Sparks expire?
Allowance and expiry details are shown in the app when you choose a plan.
What happens to my companion if I cancel a subscription?
Nothing. You own the app, and your companion, its memories and your settings live on your PC. You simply return to local mode.
Will the $10 price go up after early access?
It is the early-access price. If it changes, this page will change with it — and what you have already bought stays bought.
Ten dollars, once.
Asiden is a one-off $10 during early access, and local conversations are unlimited after that. Purchases and plans are handled inside the app once it is installed.
